Dear London

Dear London,

You are no Paris, nor are you a New York City. Doesn't mean I don't have a place for you in my heart, though. Do you have a skyline like NYC? Nope Do you have the gorgeous old buildings of Paris? Not close. But you are uniquely London. Is the Tate Modern seriously an ugly building? Yes, yes it is. But what's on the inside is extremely beautiful and enriching.

You have a definite beauty, but you are much more understated. Covent Garden you are one of my favorites. With all of your little side streets. The wonderfully talented performers situated in every corner. That's not including the beauty that comes from within your Opera House. And let us not forget the food market on Saturdays!

Bloomsbury is a wonderful place to take a quite walk and see old London houses. And  of course The London Bridge is transfixing in it's own way, especially with a view of Big Ben and The Parliament House. A cruise down the Thames was peaceful and really showed the old and modern London coming together.

London, what I appreciated most was your diversity! There was a little bit of everything, from everywhere and a lot of America! I most enjoyed walking into a drugstore and being able to buy a bottle of water and Benadryl(not that I needed to, because everyone who's sent a package from the US has sent a bottle or two!!)! You can't do that in most of Europe. You are a very open and accepting city and I think that is a huge part of your beauty.

Thank you for a wonderful spring break. It will never be forgotten! Don't worry, I'll be back soon enough. I know there is much more for me to discover.

With great admiration and love- Nathan
